- Start date
September
- Location
Deventer, Enschede
- Duration
2 Years
Do you want to become a software developer, working in teams to design, implement, test and deploy applications? Join our intense two-year program, in which you'll first learn to develop software to the highest standards by completing 124 challenging assignments at your own pace, and then learn to apply these skills in practice through projects and internships.
Our offices
We offer a cosy, spacious office environment where you will be working for about 35 hours a week, together with your fellow students and the teachers. No homework is expected, and a "work hard, play hard" attitude is encouraged.
Lots of structure, your own pace
Our program focuses on providing you with the best learning experience through individual, clearly-defined, and challenging programming assignments. You will work on one assignment at a time to ensure maximum focus. As you can work at your own pace, the duration of the program is somewhat flexible. In practice, most students take somewhat longer than 2 years.
Excellent job opportunities
Our program is highly recognised by the business world, which means that job opportunities are available upon graduation. You will have the chance to participate in internships in the second year, giving you real-world experience in two different companies.
Top program
The associate degree in Software Development has been rated as a top program by the Keuzegids HBO 2025.

During your studies
The first phase of the program consists of 124 increasingly challenging assignments. Most of the assignments are very technical and very practical. You'll usually work individually, though help from classmates and the teachers is never far away. Some of the more complex assignments allow you to work in pairs or in small teams. The second phase is about designing and creating large-scale software while working as part of a team. You'll experience real-life projects, including two company internships.
After your studies
After completing the program, you will receive an internationally recognized Associate degree (Ad) title. With this degree, you can work as a software developer in disciplines such as frontend, backend, full-stack, or embedded. If you wish to pursue further studies, you can enroll in HBO-ICT with two years worth of exemptions.
