E³UDRES² spring summit 2025: ‘Deep tech for regions'.
From 17 to 21 March 2025, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as a Driver for Smart and Sustainable Regions (E³UDRES²), will host the highly anticipated E³UDRES² Spring Summit 2025. Held in Enschede, this dynamic event will unite international stakeholders, researchers, policymakers, students, and industry leaders to explore cutting-edge developments in regional innovation, higher education, and applied research.
E³UDRES² is a European University Alliance fostering smart and sustainable innovation through collaboration between universities, businesses, and regional stakeholders. The alliance aims to co-create knowledge, drive digital transformation, and support regional development across Europe.

International stakeholders’ forum (17 March): Opening keynote by Pedro Dominguinhos, Director of the Recovery and Resilience Fund in Portugal, followed by a company visit showcasing deep-tech innovations in the region.

Science festival & innovation hubs (18 March): Showcasing the E³UDRES² Innovation Hubs and their role in regional development.

Keynotes from national and regional Leaders (18 March): Insights on driving innovation and creating regional impact from Erwin Hoogland (Deputy of the Province of Overijssel), an introduction to the Twente Board by Marijke Schippers and Sjoerd Jansen, and a presentation from the Municipality of Enschede by Barbara Verbeek and Ruud Koopman (lecturer at Saxion).
