What is it like to collaborate with students from German universities on a project? Enriching? Opportunities? Challenges? What should you consider? And why do German companies in the border region choose students from the Netherlands? In the podcast series by GrensWerk, a service point for Dutch-German employment mediation, they discuss various aspects of cross-border collaboration with people living in the border region.

Saxion students and lecturers also share their experiences in the podcast. For example, Chris Witbreuk, who lives in Gronau and studies Industrial Engineering and Management at Saxion. In the podcast he tells about his internship in Germany. How do you find an internship in the border region, and what are the cultural similarities and differences in the day to day business?

Another guest on the podcast is Noha van der Griendt, an ICT student. He participated in the Interreg project Smart Solution Labs. Together with students from FH Münster and the Westfälische Hochschule Bocholt, he worked for a semester on a project for a Dutch company and a project for a German company in the border region.

Jacques Bazen and Paul van Loenen, from the Industrial Engineering and Management programme, also share their experiences in one of the episodes. They discuss how Dutch and German students work together on assignments for companies on both sides of the border. This cooperation provides both students and companies with valuable insights into professional and cultural differences.
