Update 7: More information about online teaching
Now that teaching is no longer possible at our locations in Enschede, Deventer and Apeldoorn until March 31, we are naturally looking at other options. These options include online education, for which our schools are currently developing an action plan. Our approach is to allow all educational activities to proceed, but in an online form.
Lessons
All educational activities will be cancelled until Monday 16 March. The only exception to this is the education offered by the Saxion Part-time School. This is offered online from Monday. From Tuesday 17 March, where possible, little by little, the other educational activities will also be offered online.
The timetables will remain intact, and students will hear from your school no later than 4 p.m. the day before the scheduled class if the class will take place online.
Exams
We are currently examining which tests can and cannot take place or can be offered in another form. When we know more, we will inform you.
Internship
Students who are undertaking an internship, should follow the guidelines for the company where they are placed. This also applies for students who are working for a company as part of a minor or finishing their studies at a company. Internship supervision will take place online.
Graduation ceremony
Graduation ceremonies will be postponed.
Opening hours buildings
Locations Ko Wierenga Enschede, Deventer and Ariensplein Enschede are open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. Randstad building is open to employees. Locations Apeldoorn, Epy Drost, Edith Stein and Ketelhuis at the Gasfabriek location in Deventer are closed.
Bus line from Achterhoek
The bus line from the Achterhoek will no longer run for the time being.
FAQ
We find it important that students and employees are well informed about the coronavirus: what is the current status? Wat should you do? What do you need to avoid? And what is Saxion doing? For all these questions, and others, please refer to our FAQ.
