IISMA students met the President of Saxion's Executive Board
Last Thursday, the President of Saxion’s Executive Board Anka Mulder welcomed the fourteen Indonesian students studying at Saxion this year under the IISMA scholarship programme. In her welcome speech, she highlighted the longstanding and close relationship between Saxion and Indonesia, which has proven mutually enriching over the years.
The IISMA scholarship, or Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards, is a prestigious programme fully funded by the Indonesian government, providing students with the opportunity to gain international experience. This year marks the second consecutive year that Saxion has been selected as a host institution. Four students are enrolled in the Start-up Entrepreneur minor, while the others are pursuing studies in International Finance and Accounting.
This Meet & Greet was the opportunity to meet over coffee and sweets, allowing students to share their first impressions of living and studying in Deventer and Enschede. For many, this is their first time in the Netherlands, and the exchange of cultures and experiences was a meaningful part of the gathering.
Saxion is delighted to once again serve as a host institution for the IISMA students, and is glad they have chosen Saxion as their host university for their studies abroad. Their presence contributes to the international and multicultural environment that Saxion values highly.
