Henrike Branderhorst new member of Saxion’s Supervisory Board

Henrike Branderhorst has been appointed as member of the Saxion Supervisory Board (RvT) as of 1 July. She succeeds Karin Sluis who has been a member of the Supervisory Board for 8 years. Henrike is Co-CEO of TAUW Group: a European consultancy and engineering firm active in the fields of environment and built environment. She has extensive management and supervisory experience.

“We are delighted to welcome Henrike as new member of the Supervisory Board. She has extensive experience as director, regional expert and is highly committed to Saxion’s leading theme of ‘sustainability’. Our applied university will greatly benefit from her expertise,” says Karl Dittrich, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board.

Henrike Branderhorst has broad management experience gained at a variety of organisations such as Rijkswaterstaat (Ministry of Infrastructure and Water), the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (North Holland Water Authority). After studying environmental health at Wageningen University, she also began her career there as a lecturer. Henrike has been working at TAUW since 2015, and since 2018 as Co-CEO. Furthermore, she is supervisor at Stichting Wateropleidingen (foundation for water sector training) and member of the Innovation Council at Waterschap Vechtstromen and of the Topteam Topsector Water and Maritime.

Henrike is looking forward to using her expertise and passion to help the next generation of sustainable professionals. Henrike: “As new member of Saxion’s Supervisory Board, I really want to be able to help develop the talent needed for today’s world and tomorrow’s.”

In addition to Henrike Branderhorst, the Saxion Supervisory Board consists of Karl Dittrich (chairperson), Paul Koch, Christa Boer and Benno Siegert. Karin Sluis has been a member of the Supervisory Board for 8 years and now takes her leave with the arrival of Henrike.
