Saxion opens Alumni Office: building longterm connections
On Wednesday, the Alumni Office was officially launched in Enschede. This collaboration between Saxion academies and the central Alumni Office serves as the main point of contact for alumni, companies, and Saxion, fostering long-term relationships with former students and the professional world.
The Alumni Office
The Alumni Office is a central contact point designed to support and grow Saxion’s alumni community. It aims to build lasting connections that begin at the moment of enrolment and continue throughout the graduates' careers. According to Melanie Broekhuis, advisor at the Alumni Office, the alumni office is a shared gain for all parties involved. “First and foremost, we create added value for our alumni: they can build a professional network, exchange experiences with other graduates, get inspiration from other companies, and stay involved in the development of their field.”

For alumni
The Alumni Office offers multiple ways for alumni to stay engaged with Saxion and expand their professional network. Through various events and gatherings, alumni can meet other graduates, exchange experiences, and gain insights into different business environments. They also have the opportunity to learn from peers with more work experience. Additionally, alumni can offer internship positions, share their expertise by giving guest lectures, and provide feedback on education at Saxion.
Collaborating as an organisation
The Alumni Office fosters valuable connections between alumni and companies, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration. By connecting with the Alumni Office, businesses can tap into a network of skilled professionals, stay informed about trends in education and research.
