Install the Multi-Factor Authentication for your Saxion account

Reading time Minutes

We want to make sure that your data in the Saxion systems, such as marks or handed-in papers or assignments, is retained as securely as possible. We have taken a number of measures to achieve this. One of these measures is having Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all Saxion accounts. Also for your account.

What is MFA?
MFA lets you log in to your Saxion account using a password and by giving consent through a special app on your mobile phone. Saxion wants to be sure that when you log into Saxion's digital environment, that it is definitely you. This makes logging in even more secure. Logging in using MFA initially applies to Microsoft applications (like Outlook and Teams) and for MySaxion. In the future other applications will also be included in MFA, such as Blackboard.

How do you install MFA?
It's easy: follow the  step-by-step instructions  or watch the video ‘Veilig inloggen met MFA’ (Logging in safely with MFA) to install MFA onto your account. Setting it up only takes a few minutes.  This is important to protect your data and Saxion's data.
