DigiSmartTech: Cooperation partnerships in higher education
DigiSmartTech stands for Sustainable Digital Technologies Toward Printed Sensor Applications for Smart-functional Textiles. The aim of this EU sponsored Erasmus+ DigiSmartTech project is stimulating cooperation between educational institutions and businesses in digital technologies for smart-functional textiles.
The key objectives are a) Supporting digital capabilities of the higher education sector, b) Development of digital content, technologies and practices, c) Stimulating cooperation between educational institutions and business, d) Stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices such as Micro-credentials.
Active participation from Saxion-ACT: at the Academy of Creative Technology, the participants are students of the Bachelor in Fashion and Textile Technologies, of the Master in Innovative Textile Development and of the Research Group Sustainable & Functional Textiles that focuses on the development of sustainable and smart functional textiles. Saxion's focus within this collaborative project is:
- O1: Basic course module - digital printing on textiles at bachelor level.
- O2: Advanced course module Printed Sensors on Textiles at master level.
- O3: Technology base - network: to deepen understanding in sensor printing on textiles.

Project duration
The project will run from 2022 to 2025.
