MORe is a new project on cyber security in the smart industry. The aim of the project is to further develop the Fieldlab The Garden, which is coordinated by Thales, into an open innovation environment for the region.
Cyber security in the product lifecycle
The objective of the MORe project is to strengthen the cyber security of SMEs in the Eastern Netherlands. To this end, the project focuses in particular on cyber security throughout the product lifecycle, from product innovation to actual use of the product. This is an important new area of attention for smart industry. Product development is increasingly taking place through customer interaction and in collaboration between industrial partners, each with their own specialisms. As a result, product development is increasingly linked to the production process and to the use by the customer. The parties will therefore increasingly cooperate with each other throughout the product lifecycle. And for that they need to share all kinds of data, but in a secure way. To make that possible, (cyber) safe systems and applications are required.
Project activities MORe
With this project we want to improve the earning power of the outsourced networks in the increasingly digitized world of the active SMEs and suppliers in the region. To achieve this goal, we set up a network that will carry out a package of inspiring activities:
- Raising awareness among SMEs of the cyber security problems
- Developing a regional community around cyber security and smart industry
- Developing a roadmap with a future vision and project themes in the field of cyber security and smart industry for SMEs
- Developing an open innovation environment and developing new activities around the Fieldlab The Garden for the region.
The MORe project is a result of the East Netherlands Smart Industry initiative aimed at the safe sharing of data for the benefit of smart industry. Part of this initiative is also the smart industry FieldLab The Garden, located at the HighTech Systems Park in Hengelo.
